As promised, here is the cover I made for NaNoWriMo, along with the blurb for MIDNIGHT HEAT. I found the photo at iStockphoto.com. The minute I saw it I knew I had to have it, for it portrays Rebecca and Dominic exactly as I picture them.
MIDNIGHT HEAT is a spin-off of After Midnight. It features Dominic Price, a secondary character from After Midnight. I originally had no plans to give Dominic his own story, but half way into writing After Midnight, fell so in love with his character that I changed my mind. I hope you'll love him as much as I do.
The unconscious man wheeled into Dr. Rebecca Dahlman’s ER was sexy—unforgettably sexy—and injured. This wasn’t just any patient in need of medical help. He was the only man she’d ever loved—the one who still haunted her dreams.
One touch of his calloused hands reignites their passion. Can they rekindle their trust as easily, or will her fears cause her to lose him again…this time to a man bent on revenge?

Gorgeous cover and GREAT blurb! Did you outline it first?
Thanks for visiting! Glad you enjoyed the blurb. For some reason I couldn't begin this book without getting the blurb done first. :)
I'm a pantser so I never do a true outline. I do know the beginning and the ending of this book, as well a few key scenes. Now I just have to get them out of my head and onto the page.

I agree with LASR...great inspiration for NaNo on both the cover and blurb! Get to it! :)
I'm skipping NaNo this year--way too much going on to make it a sane possibility.
Stacey-
Thanks for stopping by. I'm glad you like the cover and blurb.
I just found out my second edits for After Midnight will most likely come through in a few weeks. Yikes! But I'm not going to let that stop me. I will get to it!

Welcome to NaNoWriMo, Sarah! This is year #4 for me. Like you, I always make a cover for inspiration--and may I just say, yours is terrific! Good luck--happy writing--and remember, lots of cocoa (or coffee, if that's your choice), chocolate, warm fuzzies for every day's goal met--and think CONTRACT for book!
Great cover! Good luck with NaNo.
Judy and Debra-
Thanks for the luck, I might need it. Yesterday wasn't the best writing day for me. Every time I got into it, the business phone would ring or one of the teenagers would saunter into the room and tower over me, "Hey, Mom..."
Oh well, there's always today.
