Teaser Tuesday

“Noah?”

“Yeah?”

“Kiss me.”

She didn’t have to ask twice. He dipped his head, settled his lips on hers and plundered. He dragged her against him, and drank in the hot, potent taste of her as he fed on her mouth like a starving man.

She softened, a tiny sound of passion slipping up her throat—an urgent invitation. His pulse leaped. So did other parts of his anatomy. Her fingers burrowed through his hair.

He deepened the kiss, stroking his hands down the sides of her body to settle on her hips. He used them to guide her as he stepped forward once, twice, until her back settled against the trunk of the maple. Awash in the smell of her, the feel of her, he pressed closer, until no space existed between them. Her breasts flattened against his chest, her hips arched into him. Heat from her body flowed into his, sparking a fire. His heartbeat echoed in his head.

Teaser Tuesday

“It’s not supposed to be just about the finale. It’s about the journey. It’s all about touch, Isabeau. Soft caresses. Slow, deep, wet kisses. Why would you settle for anything else?” Her tongue darted out and wet her lips, and Noah wondered what she’d do if he leaned in right now and showed her what he meant.

“Maybe you haven’t taken a good look at me?”

“I’m looking at you now.” He cupped her face with one hand, traced his thumb along the curve of her jaw. Her skin was warm and soft as silk beneath his.

“Noah.” His name crossed her lips, a husky rasp barely audible over the street noise. She reached up and wrapped her hand around his.

She had a mouth that begged to be kissed. A mouth meant for pleasure. How was it she didn’t realize her own appeal? He traced his thumb over the palm of her hand. Satisfaction welled inside him when she trembled. “You don’t have to settle, Isabeau.”

Today Is All About You

As you probably know, about three weeks ago I went from a stay at home mom who did the books for my husband's business and ran for parts when needed, to full-time employee at a local farm. No, not in the fields, but as a Bookkeeper/Office Manager/Human Resources gal. Why am I telling you this? Simple. My time to blog, tweet, promote—and most painful of all, hunt down new books—has been cut short.

So, I've decided to tackle two of those things in one post. How? With a little help from you. Yup, today's Teaser Tuesday is all about you.

Using the comments section, tell me about your book. Is it a new release or has it been out for a while now? As long as it's a romance, it doesn't matter to me. I want to hear about it! Romantic Suspense, Historical, Erotica, Paranormal...bring it! Give me the back cover blurb and a short excerpt.

There's only one rule: Please rate your excerpt toward the beginning of your post, especially those some visitors may find too explicit for their tastes.

Oh, and don't forget to include where we can buy it. Come on, share your book with me!

Teaser Tuesday

A sudden thump sounded against the door, then a second time, louder than the first. Paige jumped, her pulse skipping as the sound came again and again. She screamed when with a resounding crack, the front door swung in and slammed against the inside wall.

The man stood, framed in the doorway, one arm raised and holding the door against the wall to keep it from swinging back at him. His glasses were gone now and the sight of those eyes looking at her, staring at her from a stranger’s face, actually made her feel faint.

Her breath clogged in her lungs. Her body began to tremble even harder. She’d seen those eyes before, staring down at her as she slept. She’d thought she’d dreamed them, but here they were. Eyes so blue that had she not known better, she would have believed they were colored contacts.

“It can’t be,” Paige whispered, clutching her cell phone so tightly her fingers went numb. “You’re dead.”

“Put down the phone, P.C.”

Teaser Tuesday

“Why would someone want you dead, Paige?”

“I don’t know.”

"Is there anything you’re not telling us about the events of yesterday morning? Something Leroy St.John told you, something you saw?”

“I told you everything.”

“You’re sure?”

“Yes.”

Under different circumstances, she might not have blamed them. She had no proof, just her word that she had seen the photograph. But her life was in danger. Someone had killed Leroy and blown up her car. She knew the two events were connected. The same way she knew the photograph had been there and that the uncluttered desk before her was important.

For a long, tense moment, Sergeant Harrison’s dark gaze locked with hers. She caught a flash of emotion in his eyes, then it was gone and they were cool and disconnected—cop’s eyes. Her heart lurched, and her knees went weak.

“What do you want me to do?” he asked.

“I want you to believe me.”
