Six sentences from After Midnight. We pick up right where we left of last week, with Isabeau and Noah.
“What do you want from me?” she inquired before he could comment.
“That’s a good question,” he replied, more to himself than in answer to her. “How about your name?”
The way he looked at her made it very, very hard for her to look away. “Isabeau.”
“Isabeau.”
Thanks for stopping by every week. Really. I appreciate it more than I can express.
And don't forget to stop by the Official Site for a complete list of everyone participating this week. I know they all appreciate your comments as much as I do.

Ah, thought I recognised that name. Ladyhawke! Great six!
Even though he just found out her name, I can feel the sexual tension building. Nice six!
Ohh, I bet the name is only the start of what he wants.
Nice lead in to the tension.
Wonder what else he's gonna what? ;-)
I don't want to look away. I want more of this sss. Great six.
Love it, the character interactions are flawlessly natural -- and LOVE the name :) fab six xx
I bet him repeating her name made her feel something?

Wish he would say my name. LOL. Great work.
Mmmm slow burn of tension there!
Wonderful tension building. You don't write it but I can see him savoring the name.
I like the sound of the way he looked at her. ;)
Love the name. Awesome 6
Love how a woman's name can sound so sensual coming from a man's lips. :)
Great dialogue. There's already tension between them. Thanks for sharing!
Sounds like both of them are learning a little more about the other! Great six :)
Lovely interaction.
Ohh, I can feel the tension. Great six!
So simple and with such great promise. I love the name.
Sometimes it's all in the name. Nice!
I like that they both seem a bit flummoxed; always nice to have a little humor beneath the tension.
nice one Sarah, super work as usual and I love your website too. I'm getting ready to upgrade to a lizcrowe.com site with brewing passion.com as the blog insert....how can get one of the "sweet blogger" awards? oh yeah, gotta be "sweet"
*makes a note*
cheers
Liz
"Isabeau." Beautiful name! I'd like to know his reply.
Lovely name for a lovely woman. He better be kind to her!
Oof. A lot of tension even though they're just talking. Great chemistry!
Can't help it... the name evokes Michelle Pfeiffer as Lady Hawke! ;-)
But I guess this is something else altogether...
Great six

Isabeau. What an unusually beautiful name. :)
Yes! I recognize the name, too. Love it. And I love that you are reinventing it with your own character. Good six.
Best to you,
Allure Van Sanz
OH, man, love this, but I'll bet he wants a lot more from her than her name!
Oh, nice! I wonder what else he wants from her...
Great sexual tension! I'm sure it only builds from there.
I love how there's so much sexual tension with just the asking of her name! Great six!
Great character and chemistry in a few words!
I'm with others in wondering what else he'll want - and whether she'll give it to him!
Great name indeed - makes me wonder what he's like! :-)
the promise of what's to come in these six sentences is amazing! I love them!
Your six sentences intrigued me so much that I went back and read your others! Looks like a really good story -- one I'd enjoy. Thanks for sharing.
Very interesting! There's a lot of
underlying tones in this dialogue!
So much said, and unsaid, in that short bit of dialogue - well done!
Such a lovely name. Well done on your pacing.
I do love her name! And great dialogue.
I love the name Isabeau! I too remember it from Ladyhawk. He has a very powerful gaze--she'd best watch out. Great six.
Lovely light banter, and I love the name Isabeau. I remember Ladyhawke too.
