December Blurb Extravaganza! Open Promo

Some of you may recall that I routinely open my blog to other romance authors to promote their new releases. Yes? Well, I had planned to do it again this month, but seeing as Christmas is a mere 17 days away, I thought I would change things up a bit this month and invite romance authors to post about their books whether or not the book is a new release. I don't know about you, but I love the romance genre and am always on the lookout for great romances, even if they're years past their release date.

So...Welcome to December's Blurb Extravaganza!  Tell me about your book. Do you have a current or upcoming release? An older release? This month I'm not concerned with release dates, just great romances! After all, what's better than a stocking full of books?

Please put you blurb in the comments section of this post and follow these few pesky rules:

  • The book has to be a romance. I don't care what genre romance, but my readership is romance so we're going to give them what they love.
  •  You can post for yourself or you can post about a fabulous book you can't wait to get your hands on and you think we should all run out and buy.
  • Have a favorite romance? One you've read over and over again?  I'd love to hear about it.
  • Also, I reserve the right to delete a post if it promotes objectionable content. (incest, rape, etc.)
Simple enough, right? Post away!

Thanks, Sarah! This is my latest release, a hot science fiction romance short. :)

“Welcome to Venus Ascendant, a Public Grade space station in the Andromedan Galaxy. With our open-to-all policy, any being in the universe can find their perfect R & R, romantic getaway or dangerous liaison at our purpose built resort. The on-board empathic AI Ganesa ensures that anyone coming to Venus Ascendant will find their heart’s desire, with suites that transform from luxurious boudoirs to sunset-lit beaches to dark BDSM dungeons. So come to Venus Ascendant and find exactly what you’re looking for!”

It was meant to be a romantic getaway for Marie and the love of her life Jaisen; a chance for him to get to know her better after months of her denying him more than a few stolen kisses. Instead, Marie finds herself dumped and alone on Venus Ascendant with no credit for a transmat and the next starship home not due for another hour.

But the all-seeing AI isn’t going to leave anyone aboard the space station with their dreams unfulfilled. Marie's boyfriend might not have made it to the station, but there are others willing and able to take on the role - even if they aren’t entirely human.

Hi, Sarah, thanks!

Here's my spicy contemporary romance, Clear As Day.

What’s a girl to do when her summer lover wants forever?

Haunted by dark memories of her parents’ volatile marriage, artist Kay Browning keeps her heart locked behind a free-spirit facade and contents herself with the comfortable affair she has every summer with easygoing photographer Nate Quinn.

The only trouble with her plan? This summer Nate’s come to Lake Mohave to claim the lover he can’t let go. He’s done with the endless traveling and settling for temporary homes and temporary loves. Kay’s always been more than just a vacation fling, and now he must convince this woman, who sees love as a course to certain heartbreak, to take that leap of faith and learn how safe love with the right man can be.

thanks for this opportunity to talk about TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT, which is currently on sale at Amazon, B&n, and many other retailers for 99cents until December 14th at midnight. (Then it turns back into a pumpkin and will cost $5 more!)

TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT BY Lynne Marshall is a contemporary romance set in Maine, and features over-forty characters Joy and Paul. There are many wonderful reviews posted at Amazon and Goodreads.

Here's the back cover blurb:
Dissove the partnership…or renegotiate between the sheets…

Blurb: Joy Waltham is stressed out. Before she can expand her business empire, she needs her ex-husband’s signature dissolving his silent partnership. A trip to Maine to find her ex, get the signature, and chill out seems ideal. But instead of relaxing, Joy winds up in the middle of a mystery—and wrapped in the overprotective arms of Comfort’s chief of police—her ex-husband.

After retiring from LAPD, Paul Donovan took charge of tiny Comfort’s police department. Bored senseless, he’s still not ready for chaos in the form of his ex-wife shaking up his life. Joy arrives just in time to meddle in his investigation of a string of accidental deaths. Now forced to work together, Joy and Paul confront some unexpected challenges.

It’s emotional deja vu as they dig through their thorny past, reawaken old sexual attraction, and face the fact they never stopped loving each other.

Thanks for letting me share my book and to get the word out about 99cent e-book sale.
If anyone would be so kind at to click the like button at Amazon, that would be greatly appreciated, too.

Happy Holidays, Sarah!
Sincerest thanks,
Lynne

Thanks for the invite, Sarah! Merry Christmas everyone. :-)

My newest is: A HIGHLANDER IN HER PAST

Even soul mates need a push in the right direction sometimes. Especially when that direction crosses centuries.

How bad could one little spell be?

Trish Sullivan, archeologist and favorite aunt to the MacKay children, never thought she'd regret those words until Ramsay, the eldest MacKay lad, hurls them back to the 1400s with a botched transportation spell. Now she and Ramsay must find a way back before accidentally altering the past and unknowingly changing the future. That is, if Trish can survive the first trip across time without losing her life...or her heart.

What harm could come from a little soul-binding?

Proving his Highland honor alive and well, Maxwell Sullivan agrees to bind his soul to Trish's in order to save her life. But Highland honor isn't much help when Maxwell loses his heart in the bargain to the sassy woman headed back to the future.

Hi Sarah and thanks for opening your blog for a little hoiday promo. I have a sweet short story, A TASTE OF CHOCOLATE, I'd like to talk about. It's part of the Matchmaker Series at Still Moments Publishing.

“A man’s kiss should taste like chocolate, dark flavor melting, doing sensual things to you.” –Freya, the Matchmaker

Hope Morningstar has the worst luck with men. One boyfriend wrote her a “Dear John” letter while serving overseas. Her latest romantic interest broke up with her in a text. When a traffic detour puts her in an unfamiliar neighborhood, she stops at Freya’s Coffee Shop where she gets more than directions. She gets another chance at finding love.

Declan Fleming, scarred by a cheating ex-wife, has given up searching for love. He’s taken the route of a few other men and engaged the services of Freya, the matchmaker. Still, he’s been waiting for a year and he’s just about given up hope. Then Freya sends him Hope.

When feelings of insecurity and trust issues come into play, can finding love stand a chance? Can the magical influence of this matchmaker create a happy ending? After all, finding that one special love often involves a bit of special magic, does it not?

Here's my contemporary time-shift--CAPTIVE HERO (Time-shift Heroes Series-Book One) by Donna Michaels

Test flying an invisible plane—unreal. Time-shifting to WWII—unbelievable. Capturing a hero—unavoidable.

When Marine Corps test pilot, Captain Samantha Sheppard accidentally flies back in time and inadvertently saves the life of a WWII VMF Black Sheep pilot, she changes history and makes a crack decision to abduct him back to the present. With the timeline in jeopardy, she hides the handsome pilot at her secluded cabin in the Colorado wilderness.

But convincing her sexy, stubborn captive that he is now in another century proves harder than she anticipated—and soon it becomes difficult to tell who is captor and who is captive when the more he learns about the future, the more Sam discovers about the past, and the soul-deep connection between them.

As their flames of desire burn into overdrive, her flying Ace makes a historical discovery that threatens her family’s very existence. Sam’s fears are taken to new heights when she realizes the only way to fix the time-line is to sacrifice her captive hero...or is it?

Can love truly survive the test of time?

Thanks for this opportunity, Sarah. Here's the blurb for my western historical romance, Loveland:
When Lady Alexandra Calthorpe returns to the Loveland, Colorado, ranch owned by her father, the Duke, she has little idea of how the experience will alter her future. Headstrong and willful, Alex tries to overcome a disastrous marriage in England and be free of the strictures of Victorian society --and become independent of men. That is, until Jesse Makepeace saunters back into her life...
Hot-tempered and hot-blooded cowpuncher Jesse Makepeace can’t seem to accept that the child he once knew is now the ravishing yet determined woman before him. Fighting rustlers proves a whole lot easier than fighting Alex when he’s got to keep more than his temper under control.
Arguments abound as Alex pursues her career as an artist and Jesse faces the prejudice of the English social order. The question is, will Loveland live up to its name?
