PMS and the Romance Writer

Trying to write but...

my characters are fighting
the dogs won't stop barking
I want chocolate
my pants are too tight
I have cramps
my husband is chewing too loudly
I want ice cream
the garbage smells - even though I emptied it five minutes ago
where's the Midol?
I want popcorn
my boobs are swelling out of my bra
now the neighbors dogs are barking
my characters are still fighting
is this ever going to end?
there's not enough Midol in the world to fix this
screw it, I'm going back to bed!

Liz-

You ever have one of those days or is it just me? ;-)

ROFLOL Sarah, you are hilarious. I love this...and it was sooooo me the other day. Add to this list -- Company being audited by the IN Dept. of Revenue --

Geesh, I hated everyone on Monday. And it's too much that you mention your dh and the chewing! While at the auditor's, my accountant and I had a 10 minute discussion regarding the annoying way our husbands eat potato chips! And here I thought I was the only one!

Thank you for this, my friend. I needed the laugh.

AJ - audited? I would hate everyone that day, too. Sheesh! As for chewing...I can hear every crunch, every tooth grind, every annoying little smack when I'm suffering from PMS. It's so weird! It doesn't even have to be crunchy food. LOL

Glad I could make you laugh today.

I haven't had a day like this in 18 years. (Thank God and Dr. Nelson) So take heart girls. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

What Sandy says is blissfully true. I had a total hysterectomy in 2000 and instantly- no more PMS. No. Now it's replaced with inconsolable, uncontrollable, out of whack hormones. Much preferred.

I had a hysterectomy at the ripe old age of 27 due to severe endometriosis. BUT, being only 27, doc left me one ovary. Let me tell you, every month that little beyotch still gives me PMS even though there's nothing to follow it. ;-)
