Six Sentence Sunday 2/26

Thanks for stopping by Off the Keyboard. Today I bring you six from my contemporary romance, After Midnight.

His mouth curved into an irresistibly devastating grin, and everything female in her stood at attention. He strode the rest of the way to the bar, his every movement fluid and easy. Confident. Naturally sexy. His lean, rangy body was clad in snug jeans and a black tee. Jeans so worn and faded that only their seams gave hint to their original color. Jeans that rode low on his hips, cupping his sex as tightly as a hand.

Six Sentence Sunday 1/22

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday! Wow, it feels like months since I participated. Has it really been that long?

Today I decided I'd share with you the first six from my WIP, Midnight Heat.

Dominic Price was fantasizing about another man’s woman. Not just any woman. No, the one on his mind was the wife of the sorry bloke sitting not four feet away, his gaze on the mobile phone near his feet as if he could will the bleedin’ thing to light up.

He was on the twelfth day straight of his imprisonment in the basement recording studio. Nerves were frayed, tempers short, and the ability to string notes together into a proper melody, long gone. If it were up to him, they’d have thrown in the towel hours ago.

Six Sentence Sunday 11/27

He was gentle at first and then, as she surrendered, his mouth explored hers with greater intent. He kissed her almost roughly, completely on fire, sweeping his tongue possessively into her mouth. His hands settled on her hips, gliding upward beneath her shirt until his palms closed over her naked breasts. His moan of approval, so raw and husky, vibrated into her mouth and made her heart pound even harder. The sensation of bare flesh against bare flesh sent waves of heat spiraling from her head to her toes. Her nipples hardened.

Six Sentence Sunday 11/13

“It’s not supposed to be just about the finale. It’s about the journey. It’s all about touch, Isabeau. Soft caresses. Slow, deep, wet kisses. Why would you settle for anything else?”

Six Sentence Sunday 10/16

Welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday! Thanks for stopping by. I'm still in the middle of a blog tour, so here's a bit more from After Midnight, which recently made the 100 Romance Project top eRomances list!

“Are you thirsty?”

Dry mouthed, he shook his head while the image of her sprawled across the top of that bed sprang to mind. Longing filled him, along with the need to fill his hands with her incredible ass while his tongue explored the bloodstone in her navel—right before following that scar to the groomed treasure hidden beneath those tiny bikini bottoms.

“Hungry? I can…actually, unless you went downstairs, I can’t offer you anything to eat.”

I wouldn’t say that.

Six Sentence Sunday 10/02

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday! Today I'm celebrating because not only was Friday my release day for AFTER MIDNIGHT, but it has already received two fantastic 5 Star reviews. Woot!

Here's six from one of the reviewers favorite scenes:

He deepened the kiss, stroking his hands down the sides of her body to settle on her hips. He used them to guide her as he stepped forward once, twice, until her back settled against the trunk of the maple. Awash in the smell of her, the feel of her, he pressed closer, until no space existed between them. Her breasts flattened against his chest, her hips arched into him. Heat from her body flowed into his, sparking a fire. His heartbeat echoed in his head.

Six Sentence Sunday 9/18

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday! This week I'm celebrating the fact that my HOT contemporary romance, After Midnight, became available in print this past week. Yup, more than two weeks early!  It's only with The Wild Rose Press right now, but it will hit places like Amazon and Barnes and Noble on 9/30.

“You think you’re not the type to draw a man’s attention, think again. I can’t stand in the same room as you without wanting to taste you. I can’t taste you without wanting to taste all of you.”

Oh, God. Her knees turned to jelly. A hot, wet pulse came to life between her legs.

Six Sentence Sunday 9/11

To all of those affected by the 9/11 tragedy 10 years ago, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

~*~

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday. Thanks so much for stopping by! This week's snippet is from my romantic suspense, Not Without Risk.

“So you say.”

“You don’t believe me.” She was surprised by how much that hurt. “You still suspect me of killing Leroy, don’t you?”

“I believe in the evidence, Ms. Conroy, and until I have evidence that proves otherwise, you will remain a person of interest.”

“You actually think I would blow up my own car to divert attention from myself?”

Six Sentence Sunday 9/04

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday! In honor of my 2011 Readers Favorite Award win, I'm going to share with you six from my silver medal winner, Not Without Risk.

Each stroke, each caress of her hand pushed his blood pressure up another notch until he had to steel himself from closing the distance and pulling her into his embrace.

Want consumed him. He wanted her hands on him, not just on his car. He wanted to taste her, feel her, to fist his hands in her hair and sink into her warmth. It’d been too long, far too long since he’d been with a woman—six months, ten days and twenty-two hours to be exact, and he missed it. He missed it more than he missed nicotine, more than he missed being able to draw a deep breath without the slightest twinge of pain.

Six Sentence Sunday 7/31

Welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday! Thanks for stopping by. Between 55 hours work weeks, prepping for my upcoming blog tour and family, I have very little spare time on my hands right now. So I've decided to take a hiatus from SSS. Don't worry it'll only be a few weeks, I promise. ;-)

I'll leave you with this last bit from After Midnight.

Noah plucked the CDs from the bar without taking his eyes off her face. He didn’t understand that she clung to the slippery edge of control.

But then, he didn’t need to understand. He needed to leave her.

Then he did. Just like she’d wanted.

So why did she suddenly feel empty?

Six Sentence Sunday 7/24

Just two more weeks of this scene from After Midnight, then it's a couple of weeks off as I prepare for it's September release and corresponding Blog Tour.

“Leave.” She paused at the emotion in her voice. “There’s nothing for you here.”

Desperate to have him gone, to quiet her painful memories as much as her mind, she shoved the compact discs across the bar top. The stack tipped, one slid off the other and spread out as she’d arranged them a few moments ago. Three unblemished, cherubic faces looked back at her, reminding her of how much she’d lost. “Please go.”
