Six Sentence Sunday 2/20

This week's six is from my romantic suspense,
NOT WITHOUT RISK.
I was going to go with a sexy six but decided to save it for next week's celebration.
  Hopefully you won't be disappointed.

A little background: Justin is a detective, just back from medical leave after suffering a gunshot wound that punctured his lung. Allan, is Justin's partner on the job.

“Allan doesn’t think I’m ready to come back just yet. He thinks I need more time,” Justin admitted quietly against her hair.

“What do you think?”

His mouth opened, then closed. His body shuddered at the gentle scrape of her teeth across his shoulder. “I think if I hadn’t returned to work, I might never have met you.”

Don't miss out on more Six Sentence Sunday fun.

Thanks for all the positive comments! I'm taking a lunch break, then back to everyone's #sixsunday posts. I'm only about half done right now.

I'd say he came back from leave exactly when he was supposed to. Loved the Six lines. A police detective (Yum-yum) one of my favorite kinds of heroes!

Smart answer, but if you're in the middle of something dangerous (not sex) it may not be a good one.
